Somerset County Parks Therapeutic Recreation

Somerset County Parks- - refer to "Programs"- "Therapeutic Recreation"·- For
questions, please contact Dina Trunzo, Manager, at 908 526 5650, fax 908 429-5508. Somerset County Parks provides year round indoor and outdoor recreation programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities residing in Somerset County. Most programs require a small fee to participate.

Rally Ball (ages 6-12 with developmental disability)

Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 6:00 to 7:00 pm (6 Tuesdays) Green Knoll Tennis Ctr, Garretson Rd, Bridgewater
Rally Ball for children with a developmental disability ages 6-12 to be held at Green Knoll Tennis Center in Bridgewater. Cost $70. Contact 908-526-5650. This program will teach the skills of tennis, taught by Tennis Pro Mike Watson. Basic fundamentals will be modified to accommodate the needs of these students. Camp OKee Sunokee 2017 - TR Somerset County Parks

Monday, June 26, 2017 at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at North Branch Park, 355 Milltown Rd, Bridgewater, NJ
Registrations for the full 6 week period only: Warren residents cost $990. Campers ages 7 to 14 will learn social skills through recreation activities including arts & crafts, sports & games, music, cooking, swimming, and trips. Self-confidence and educational growth are enhanced for children with learning disabilities or Aspergers Syndrome. Eligibility in the child's IEP: specific learning disability, communication impairment or Aspergers Syndrome. There will be 2 staff to 10 students. Call 908-526-5650 to discuss.
